NOTES: Born in London of a French mother and Irish father, Camille moved to Cork when she was a child. She spent a year studying Fine Art Painting than moved to UCD, where she graduated as an Architect with a 1st and later tutored. She won the prestigious Architectural Association of Ireland Award in 2000 and has also exhibited in the Royal Hibernian Academy as a painter. As an actress she’s worked with Conall Morrison (Abbey Theatre & Bickerstaff production) and also in film, with roles in John Carney and Tom Hall (Dir: Bachelors Walk) films ‘November Afternoon’ and ‘On the Edge’ as well as Graham Cantwell’s ‘L’Etranger’. Recent projects also include Finola Cronin’s critically acclaimed Tanztheatre piece ‘Murder Ballads’, Gavin Kosticks ‘One Night Stand’ and George Kreisler’s ‘Tonight Lola Blau’,and Aldonza in Cork Opera Houses’ ‘Man of La Mancha’. As a singer she is well known for her passionate and dramatic interpretations of the songs of Jacques Brel, Kurt Weill, Nick Cave, Hans Eisler, Bowie , Tom Waits with her shows ‘The Dark Angel’, ‘The Carney Dream’ and ‘Brel’. Following her 5 star sellout success at the Famous Spiegeltent in Dublin, Oxford, Brighton and Edinburgh Camille now heads to Australia to perform for the first time in Melbourne. Recently she has been cast in a new British feature film directed by Stephen Frears, Mrs Henderson Presents, opposite Dame Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins and Will Young. (It was rumoured that Natalia Umbrulia, Denise Van Outen and Martine McCutchen were also seen for the role too!) She has also appeared as guest with Damien Rice, Jack L, Jerry Fish, Shane McGowan .Nothing is quite what it seems…
